Happy Hue Update Trailer day!! (And also Game Awards day, for those who celebrate.) If you haven’t seen it yet, watch the trailer before reading this newsletter! The entire team is SO excited to share it and so proud of what we’ve created. We’ve been talking to Geoff Keighley of the Game Awards about showcasing an update at the event for a while now, and this year, the planets finally aligned! Huge thanks to Geoff and the TGA team for giving us the opportunity to bring Hue back into the spotlight for people who may not have heard of it before. We’re both nervous and excited to see how it’s received! We’d love to hear your thoughts—drop us a message on Twitter or leave a comment on YouTube. 🙂 We genuinely love reading feedback and reactions to our work. We’re also planning a livestream on Twitch this Monday, where we’ll answer questions, chat about the trailer, and hang out with you all. Questions are open on social media now, so send them our way!

Hue’s Unique Identity

Hue is a vibrant, award-winning puzzle-adventure where you change the world itself by shifting its background color. Set in a dangerous grey land, you explore, uncovering colored fragments as you search for your missing mother. As obstacles blend into the background, they vanish—transforming the environment and revealing new paths in ways that constantly challenge how you perceive the world around you. This mechanic is at the heart of Hue, making it more than just a puzzle-platformer. It’s a game about discovery, perception, and the way colors shape our reality. The combination of exploration, seamless puzzle design, and a rich, mysterious narrative gives Hue a distinct identity—one that we’re incredibly proud of and excited to share with both new and returning players.

Working Ahead

Thank you for your continued support and excitement! Hue has been a dream project for us—one that we’re incredibly grateful to have had the chance to create. It’s been a long road, and there’s still work ahead, but putting this trailer out into the world has given us a big morale boost. It makes the game feel even more real and tangible, and it reminds us that there is, in fact, a light at the end of the tunnel. We hope you have a wonderful holiday season, and as always, stay safe out there!
